In a heartfelt Instagram Story, she highlighted the struggles many young women face. “Every day, we hear about the tragic situations of married women. Many educated young women plead with their parents for help, but it’s common in Indian society to overlook them once they’re married,” she wrote.
Kangana also urged young women to prioritize their careers and independence before considering marriage. “Your career matters more than anyone else,” she advised. “Think about marriage only after you’ve built your own life. Be your own hero—no one else will save you.”
Her message resonates with recent surveys showing that nearly 40% of married women in India feel trapped in their situations. This highlights a growing concern around the pressures placed on women after marriage.
Kangana’s upcoming film, “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata,” tells the inspiring story of hospital staff during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. “We see many celebrate grand acts of bravery, but true courage is often quiet. This film honors ordinary people who stand between terror and survival,” she shared.
