Empowering Kids: How DGP Inspires a Lifestyle Rooted in Education and Moral Values

The Director-General of Police in Haryana, Shatrujeet Kapur, recently urged children to embrace a balanced lifestyle. Speaking at the foundation day of Police DAV Public School in Ambala City, he emphasized the importance of education, sports, and strong moral values.

Kapur highlighted the collaboration between the DAV institution and the Police Department, which has created 22 Police DAV schools across Haryana. About 24,000 students, including 8,000 from police families, are benefiting from this initiative. He pointed out that the schools not only focus on academics but also on character development, discipline, and physical activities.

Exciting plans are on the horizon. Under the “B-Level Welfare Meeting” Mission-2036, a new sports initiative aims to prepare students for Olympic-level competitions. Kapur encouraged parents to steer their children away from substance abuse and excessive use of social media, urging them to motivate their kids towards education and sports. He said, “Success comes to those who prioritize studies, sports, and creative skills.”

During the event, top-achieving students and medalists from the Khelo India sports program were honored. A new solar power plant, which will produce 265 kW of energy, was also inaugurated at the school. Students showcased their talents through cultural performances, promoting awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

It’s noteworthy that in recent years, educational institutions like Police DAV have become essential in shaping the youth. According to a 2022 survey, over 60% of parents believe that schools should prioritize both education and character building.

The presence of former Haryana DGP B.S. Sandhu and various senior officials underscored the importance of this event for the local community. As schools continue to evolve and address modern challenges, the focus remains on creating well-rounded individuals ready to face the future.
