Women in Romania are embracing a healthier lifestyle, focusing on both their physical and mental well-being. About 60% of Romanian women are making changes to eat better and manage stress, aiming to prevent illnesses and improve their overall health. This trend is highlighted in a recent Getika Holistic Life analysis.
In fact, the demand for health assessments and personalized nutrition plans has doubled in 2024 compared to the previous year. Women are investing between 1,000 and 2,000 lei on holistic treatment plans lasting three months. The most popular services include SCIO consultations, body scans, nutrition advice, and psychotherapy.
Most women interested in this healthy shift reside in urban areas, particularly in Bucharest, followed by cities like Ploiești and Pitești.
“In recent years, many Romanian women are changing their daily habits to focus on health and well-being. They realize that true beauty starts from within. As women age, the link between health and beauty becomes more evident. The trend is especially noticeable among women aged 34 to 36, but younger women are also adopting healthier habits,” explains Maria Mihăilă, a certified nutritionist and the founder of Getika Holistic Life.
Challenges Romanian Women Face When Embracing Healthy Lifestyles
As women grow older, they often experience health issues linked to stressful lifestyles. Common concerns include skin conditions, weight gain, hormonal imbalances, and emotional stress. Many women are now recognizing that their inner health directly affects their outer appearance, prompting them to seek healthier eating habits full of vital nutrients.
Fear of Aging Spurring Lifestyle Changes
With age comes the realization of aging signs, leading many to adopt effective solutions. Women are increasingly incorporating balanced diets, exercise, and natural supplements into their daily routines to maintain vitality and a youthful look.
For many Romanian women, focusing on physical activity, balanced nutrition, and mindfulness practices has become essential.
Natural Nutrition and Skin Care
Natural supplements, including vitamins and minerals, are gaining popularity for supporting skin and hair health. Herbal remedies like teas and essential oils are being used to alleviate stress and promote well-being. Additionally, women are looking for natural approaches to enhance fertility, often seeking herbs and supplements to support reproductive health.
“Caring for your inner self can effectively enhance your appearance and skin health. A diet rich in essential nutrients significantly impacts skin and hair. Vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, and adequate hydration are crucial. Also, managing stress through practices such as meditation or regular exercise can greatly benefit skin health,” states Maria Mihăilă.
Many women are moving towards a more natural look, using less makeup to allow their skin to breathe, and highlighting their natural features instead. This shift leads to a renewed focus on healthy living, which reflects in their beauty.
As they become more conscious of the products they put on their skin, Romanian women are opting for natural cosmetics free from harmful chemicals. This focus not only helps maintain skin health but also promotes a vibrant, natural beauty.
Stress Management for a Youthful Appearance
Stress also plays a significant role in aging. Many women now utilize yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques to stay emotionally balanced. The idea of blending inner health with outer beauty is growing in popularity, leading to a conscious lifestyle change where true beauty stems from a balanced mind and body.
Post-pandemic, more Romanians have turned to complementary medicine, with over 70% visiting this type of therapy for the first time. While traditional medicine is crucial for existing health issues, complementary therapies can help maintain overall wellness and prevent new diseases. The majority of those seeking complementary medicine also continue regular check-ups with healthcare providers, viewing these methods as supportive to conventional medical practices.
Founded in 2018, Getika Holistic Life is a leading center for alternative therapies in Romania, offering innovative methods like SCIO scans to identify health deficiencies. Their mission is to guide Romanians toward healthier lifestyles and balanced living.
