Guess what? We’re about to meet one of the tiniest baby mobs in the game—baby turtles! These little guys are only a few pixels tall, and they need our protection. They absolutely love seagrass, so if you want to befriend them, make sure you have some on hand. Trust me, they’re as cute as they sound!
If you want to see these baby turtles and craft a golden dandelion, it’s time to dive into testing!
To check out these new features, you’ll need to enable snapshots in Minecraft: Java Edition or activate previews in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. For Java, just open the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Installations” tab. If you’re on Bedrock, follow the instructions to turn on the beta features.
The golden dandelion is arriving today in the Java snapshot and will soon be available in Bedrock beta and preview. How exciting is that?
We value your input! Since these features are still in development, they may change based on your feedback. That’s why we want to hear from you! Share your thoughts here and report any bugs at bugs.mojang.com.
It’s worth noting that baby turtles aren’t just a fun addition—they’re part of a broader trend where games aim to create a more immersive and caring environment. According to a recent study, games that incorporate elements of care and nurturing can significantly enhance player engagement and emotional connection. So as we welcome these tiny turtles, we’re also witnessing a shift in gaming culture towards more empathetic experiences.
