Lionsgate is reviving the horror scene with the upcoming film The Strangers: Chapter 2, set to hit theaters on September 26, 2025. This sequel follows last year’s Chapter 1, which introduced a chilling story of a couple facing terror in a secluded cabin when their car breaks down.

In Chapter 1, the plot unfolds as a young couple is unexpectedly attacked by three masked strangers. The new film will continue the story of Maya, played by Madelaine Petsch, who managed to survive the horrifying events of the first chapter. According to a 2023 survey by the Film Association, horror is now the most sought-after genre among moviegoers, indicating that audiences crave the thrill of fear on the big screen.
