The Kids Cafe program isn’t just a fall break initiative; it runs year-round, supporting after-school meals and other breaks. You can find the schedule for the 2025/2026 Washoe County school year on the Food Bank’s website.
Community support is vital for programs like this. The Food Bank partners with local organizations, including Washoe County School District and the City of Reno. Their teamwork ensures that children don’t go hungry, helping families focus on what truly matters.
According to recent statistics, nearly 1 in 8 children in the U.S. faces food insecurity. Programs like Kids Cafe play a crucial role in bridging that gap. These efforts not only provide meals but also foster a sense of community, helping kids feel supported and cared for.
In today’s busy world, simple actions can have a huge impact. If you know a family that might benefit from this, share the word and help spread the love!
