WALTHAM, Mass. – Anna Ertischek, a senior outside hitter for Brandeis University volleyball from Montgomery, Texas, has earned recognition as a first-team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) player. This accolade marks her second consecutive year on the first team, making her one of only five players in Brandeis history to achieve this honor.
Ertischek had an impressive season, leading her team and ranking third in the UAA with an average of 3.74 kills per set. She also topped the UAA in total points, totaling 504.5 points over the season—an achievement that showcases her significant contribution to the team.
Throughout the season, she played in all 31 matches, consistently delivering strong performances. Ertischek recorded double-digit kills in 24 games, with six matches where she surpassed the 20-kill mark. Her defensive skills were notable as well, as she had eight matches with 10 or more digs.
Ertischek’s career stats are remarkable. She finishes with 1,282 kills, placing her sixth on Brandeis’ all-time list, and her 1,442 total points rank eighth. Her single-season records are equally impressive, with her 434 kills tying for 10th and her 504.5 points marking one of only 12 players in school history to surpass 500 points in a season.
Head coach Alesia Bennett, in her 11th season, led the Judges to a 13-18 record, ending the year seventh in the UAA.
