Escape Plan Secures Million to Unveil 100+ Offline Stores Across India: A New Lifestyle Revolution

Bengaluru startup Escape Plan recently secured $5 million in seed funding, led by Jungle Ventures along with First Cheque@Jungle and Fireside Ventures. Founded by Abhinav Pathak and Abhinav Zutshi, Escape Plan aims to transform the travel accessories market in India with a focus on stylish and functional products.

The company plans to use this funding to broaden its reach, enhance customer acquisition, and improve quick-commerce integrations. Over the next 18 to 24 months, Escape Plan wants to open more than 100 physical stores across India. They also aim to partner with quick-commerce platforms, providing one-hour delivery for last-minute travel needs and gifts.

Pathak pointed out that the travel and luggage market in India, estimated at $3.5 billion, is projected to exceed $5 billion by 2028. “Travel has become a lifestyle rather than just an occasional activity. Yet, the market for travel gear hasn’t evolved to meet this demand,” he noted.

Rishab Malik from Jungle Ventures highlighted that today’s Indian consumers seek global styles but have limited local options. He believes Escape Plan fills this gap by offering a unique blend of travel, lifestyle, and design.

Vinay Singh from Fireside Ventures echoed this sentiment, saying Escape Plan redefines travel gear for a new generation. With its strong brand vision and multi-channel strategy, he sees the startup as a potential leader in the lifestyle sector, with the ability to compete on a global scale.

Escape Plan combines technology, design, and retail knowledge to create an integrated platform for modern travelers. Their offerings include everything from luggage to modular accessories, all aimed at blending style with functionality. This hybrid approach includes physical stores, fast delivery options, and online shopping experiences, targeting customers in major cities and beyond.

As travel becomes more essential for daily life, brands like Escape Plan play a crucial role in shaping consumer preferences. With a keen focus on design and convenience, they are set to make a significant impact in the growing Indian travel market.
