The European Union is once again delaying its tariffs on U.S. exports. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen confirmed this news. These tariffs were initially set to begin as a response to U.S. steel and aluminum import taxes introduced by former President Donald Trump.

Germany’s finance minister, Lars Klingbeil, underscored the importance of constructive dialogue with the U.S. but affirmed that the EU would take decisive action if negotiations falter. French President Emmanuel Macron also urged the EU to defend its interests firmly.
