Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper Train
Indian Railways is launching the Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train soon. This new service aims to make long-distance travel more comfortable across the country. With 16 coaches designed by BEML using ICF technology, it promises modern features.
Launch Date
Expect the Vande Bharat Sleeper train to be officially launched within the next few weeks. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag it off by January 18.
Route and Stoppages
This train will travel between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya) and will make stops at eight stations, including Bandel, Katwa, and Malda Town. It’s a significant addition to Eastern Railway operations.

The exact schedule hasn’t been released, but it’s confirmed that the train will depart in the evening.
Ticket Prices
Travelers can choose from three classes: Third AC (Rs 2,300), Second AC (Rs 3,000), and First AC (Rs 3,600). Notably, there won’t be any dynamic fare hikes; the ticket price includes meals as well.

Passengers can look forward to regional cuisines. The service from Guwahati to Howrah will offer Assamese dishes, while the return journey will feature Bengali food.
