Nebraska softball fans are buzzing after pitcher Jordy Bahl achieved an impressive milestone. She threw a no-hitter in a game against Northern Colorado, marking her first no-hitter as a Cornhusker and the 41st in the history of Nebraska softball.
Bahl dominated the game with a strong performance. She struck out five batters, walked two, and hit two, allowing no hits and keeping all plays in the infield. The final score was a commanding 10-0 victory for the Huskers.
This win came during the second game of a doubleheader in New Mexico. It’s worth noting that this was Bahl’s fourth career no-hitter and an exciting comeback since returning from injury. The last no-hitter for Nebraska was thrown by Sarah Harness in February 2023.
Over the weekend, Bahl had a stellar showing, going 2-0 with 10 innings pitched. She also made a significant impact at the plate, hitting 6-for-12 with four home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs. Now with a season record of 3-1, she continues to shine in her comeback season.
Nebraska will wrap up the Troy Cox Classic with a rematch against Montana on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. CT. Fans are excited to see what Bahl will accomplish next!
