Lions Strive in GMAC Invitational

ONEONTA, Ala. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men’s golf team had an interesting day at the GMAC Invitational at Limestone Springs Golf Club. They started strong but faced challenges as the day progressed.

After the first round, the Lions led the pack with a score of 276, putting them at -4. However, the second round proved tough, and they finished the day in 12th place with a total score of 581 (+21).

Lipscomb currently leads the tournament at even par and holds a two-stroke advantage heading into the final round. Alabama’s Brycen Jones leads individually with an impressive score of -8.

For the Lions, Noah Bumgarner opened with an eagle and is in a tie for 36th place at +5. Lorenzo Palmieri, playing his first collegiate round, scored a solid 68 and sits in a tie for 39th at +6. David Marsh, Griffin Dorr, and Preston Paulk round out the team scores, finishing the day at +7, +8, and +12, respectively.
