Exciting Achievements: Local Students Celebrate Graduation at Wichita State University!

In spring 2025, more than 1,950 students earned 2,122 degrees and certificates from Wichita State University. This achievement highlights the university’s commitment to education and student success.

The degrees awarded included:

  • Undergraduate: 1,430 degrees for 1,340 students.
  • Graduate: 692 degrees for 611 students.

Among the bachelor’s degree recipients, honors were given as follows:

  • Summa cum laude: 108 students.
  • Magna cum laude: 425 students.
  • Cum laude: 336 students.

Local graduates included:

  • Colin Crowell, B.A. in Sport Management, Magna Cum Laude
  • Ryan M Gibson, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Brittany L Huffman, Master of Engineering Management
  • Emma G Perry, B.A. in Exercise Science, Magna Cum Laude
  • Tyler J Winn, B.A. in Sport Management, Magna Cum Laude

To earn honors, undergraduate students had to achieve a GPA of 3.9 or higher for summa cum laude, 3.55 for magna cum laude, and 3.25 for cum laude.
