Illinois women’s gymnastics has made exciting additions to its 2026 signing class. Coach Josh Nilson announced the arrival of two transfers and a new freshman.
Peyton Nock, Paige Thaxton, and Logan Otteson are set to join the team for the 2026-27 season. Peyton Nock (Rosemount, MN) – Transfer from Iowa State
- First competed for Iowa State.

- Competed at level 10 throughout high school.
- Plans to study criminal justice and join the Air National Guard.

Logan Otteson (Cumming, GA) – Incoming Freshman
- 2026 Forsyth County Gymnast of the Year.
- All-around champion in Georgia.
- Competed at the club level with Infinity Gymnastics.
- Finished fifth on vault and sixth on floor at nationals.
- Aiming to major in biology.
Paige Thaxton (Westland, MI) – Transfer from Michigan
- Competed for Michigan for four years.
- Part of the Big Ten championship team in 2023.
- Career-highs include 9.875 on floor and 9.825 on vault.
- Three-time Academic All-Big Ten.
- Chose Illinois to grow academically and athletically.
