Exciting Announcement Ahead: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Countdown Has Begun!

This week, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 dropped a hint about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. In a new skate park map called The Grind, players spotted a banner featuring the THPS logo along with the date “03.04.25.” The official Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website now has a countdown clock leading to that date, suggesting some exciting news is on the way.

The very first Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater came out in September 1999. Last year, Hawk talked about wanting to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary with Activision. He confirmed that the beloved franchise will continue to evolve.

With news likely coming soon, fans have two main possibilities to look forward to. The first is another remake, similar to 2020’s successful Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, which brought back interest in the series. Many believe we could see remakes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. However, a brand-new game would be even more exciting. The last original title was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, released in 2015. Some reports even suggest that a new game could land as early as this summer, making the timing of the latest clues very relevant.

Interestingly, former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick once shared that Hawk was living in his car when he negotiated for the first Pro Skater game. It’s clear that Hawk has come a long way since then, and now fans are eager to see how the series will shine on the latest consoles.
