Exciting Comeback: Woodburn’s The Lot Food Cart Hub on Highway 99 Set to Reopen Next Month!

Woodburn’s food cart hub, The Lot-Highway 99, is ready to welcome back visitors on February 1 after a two-month break for upgrades. The lot closed on November 20 to install new sewage infrastructure and add a large charcoal grill, perfect for juicy chicken dishes.

Co-owner Martin Hodges shared that the reopening will feature some exciting new additions. Expect to see a sushi cart and a birria cart among the familiar flavors that have made this spot a favorite. While the Lot will reopen soon, the planned resurfacing of the parking area will take place in the spring, once the weather improves.

The Lot-Highway 99 is special, showcasing a diverse selection of food carts. You can enjoy everything from Thai noodles to Oaxacan caldos, not to mention popular snacks topped with Hot Cheetos. Food cart hubs like this are treasures in the Pacific Northwest, known for their mix of flavors and budget-friendly options.

Just before the closure, they also introduced alcohol to enhance the experience. Romero’s Cantina offers a nice selection of imported beers, local ciders, and wines, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

While the food carts were temporarily closed, many of them found new spots around Woodburn, keeping themselves busy. Local favorites such as Thai Woodburn, Elephant Express, and La Tuna will soon be back to delight their fans.

This trend of food carts reflects a growing movement in dining, where convenience meets creativity. A recent survey revealed that over 70% of diners enjoy food trucks and carts for their variety and affordability. As people look for quick, delicious meals, hubs like The Lot serve an important role in the community.

As the reopening day approaches, excitement is building among locals and visitors alike. It’s a chance to rediscover beloved dishes and explore new culinary creations. Be sure to mark your calendars for February 1!
