This Monday, the Orlando City Council is set to discuss the look of the buildings, streets, and other details of this ambitious project. The city council approved the $500 million plan last April, and now we’re one step further.

Westcourt will be situated next to the Kia Center on a plot of land that’s currently undeveloped. Developers plan to create a vibrant area filled with retail shops, restaurants, hotels, and high-rise apartments.

The project will roll out in two phases. The first phase includes a full-service hotel with 260 rooms and 16,000 square feet for meetings and conferences. Above the hotel, 270 residential units will be available, offering residents special access to hotel amenities. This hotel-residential building will be at the corner of Church Street and Division Avenue.

Alongside the hotel, there will be an 11-story office building and a live venue that can host up to 3,500 guests for events like galas and product launches. A significant feature of Westcourt will be its 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space designed to be the heart of the community.

Parking has also been prioritized, with a proposed garage that will accommodate 1,140 vehicles along Central Avenue.

The second phase will introduce even more residential options, featuring two towers—one with 25 stories on the eastern side and another with 21 stories on the western side of the parking garage.
