Exciting First Look: 2023 Primetime Emmy Nominations Unveiled in Key Categories!

Get ready! The nominees for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are being announced today. This marks a key moment in the small-screen awards season.

This morning, CBS shared the first two categories: Outstanding Reality Competition and Outstanding Talk Series. The awards show will be hosted by Nate Bargatze, adding to the excitement!

One surprise was that Late Night with Seth Meyers missed the Outstanding Talk Series category. Also noteworthy, The Voice was left out of Outstanding Reality Competition, making way for Survivor, which returns after a year off.

Full nominations will be announced starting at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET, with Harvey Guillen, Brenda Song, and Cris Abrego from the Television Academy reading them live from North Hollywood. You can catch the livestream online.

After today, the focus shifts to the Emmy campaign. Final voting by Academy members will take place from August 18-27. This will lead to special Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies on September 6-7, followed by the main event on September 14, which will air live on CBS and Paramount+.
