Exciting New Faces Joining Central Michigan Softball
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s softball coach, McCall Salmon, is thrilled to introduce the eight freshmen set to join the team in the fall of 2026. This incoming class features three outfielders, two infielders, a catcher, and a right-handed pitcher. Six of these talented athletes hail from Michigan, with one each from Illinois and Indiana.

Elise Baker (OF, Indianapolis, IN)
Elise comes from Roncalli High School, where she excelled in both softball and volleyball. She has been part of championship teams and aims to study biochemistry.Kayla Blumenschein (RHP/UTL, Grand Blanc, MI)
A star player at Grand Blanc High School, Kayla earned multiple accolades including all-state honors as a pitcher. She aspires to enter the medical field after studying biomedical sciences.Chloe Compau (RHP, Frankenmuth, MI)
