With the recent green light from the Ministry of Railways, India will see four new Vande Bharat trains added to its network. This brings the total number of Vande Bharat services to 164. Currently, 156 of these semi-high-speed trains are up and running.
The first of these modern trains debuted on February 15, 2019, between New Delhi and Varanasi. Designed by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, Vande Bharat trains have changed how people travel by rail across the country.

The newly approved trains will operate on the following routes:
- KSR Bengaluru to Ernakulam
- Ernakulam to KSR Bengaluru
- Firozpur Cantt to Delhi
- Delhi to Firozpur Cantt
- Lucknow to Saharanpur
- Saharanpur to Lucknow
- Varanasi to Khajuraho
- Khajuraho to Varanasi

- KAVACH System: A safety technology designed to prevent collisions.
