Hello iRacers!
The 2025 season is wrapping up, which means it’s almost time for 2026 Season 1! Before we jump into what’s coming next, let’s take a moment to celebrate the achievements of 2025. It’s been a groundbreaking year for iRacing, with many big advancements that fans have been eager for. These include the new Sim UI, major improvements in car physics, updates to our debris system, and enhancements in virtual reality.
We’ve expanded our team significantly, making it four times larger than it was in 2020. This has allowed us to accelerate development and work on exciting new projects, including a new graphics engine and a next-gen tire model. We’re also making strides in audio and career mode, ensuring that iRacing remains at the cutting edge of simulation technology.
Besides the main game, we have new releases like NASCAR 25, which is now available on popular consoles and Steam. This project required immense effort and collaboration, proving to be a remarkable accomplishment for our team. Also, our upcoming iRacing Arcade looks set to deliver a fun, accessible racing experience for players.
Now, diving into 2026 Season 1, we have exciting new tracks. The Adelaide Street Circuit will debut, known for its thrilling history and challenging layout. It’s a beloved track among real-world racers, with its high-speed sections and tight corners.
Another addition is the Miami International Autodrome, featuring multiple configurations. Our close collaboration with the track’s management has made this project possible, ensuring a unique racing experience around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium.
We’re also introducing the Lucas Oil Speedway – Off Road track, expanding our dirt racing catalog. It’s designed for UTV and Pro Truck competitions, adding more variety for our racers.
The updated Rockingham Speedway is set to complete our NASCAR refresh project with new features and versions of the track. If you already own it, you’ll get the updated version for free!
As we look forward to 2026, we’re also refreshing tracks like Bathurst, making sure they meet our current standards. This visual upgrade will enhance your racing experience with better graphics and design.
On the car front, we’re excited to announce the debut of the Porsche 911 Cup (992.2). It boasts significant upgrades from its predecessor, making it a thrilling addition to all levels of competition. To further broaden our offerings, we’re introducing the FIA Cross Car, a fun and easy-to-handle vehicle for dirt road racing, available for free to all racetracks.
We’re constantly updating our vehicle physics as well. This season, the Dallara IR18 (IndyCar) has received a hybrid system overhaul and a new art update, making the driving experience even more authentic.
In terms of our user interface, we’re introducing exciting features like a powerful search tool for navigating settings and a customizable widget editor for a more personalized experience.
We’ve also made advancements in our weather system to deliver a more realistic racing environment. Our analysis shows that we’re improving how rain is represented and its effect on race conditions, making for more dynamic experiences.
As we gear up for the new season, we’re continually fine-tuning our multiplayer experience, focusing on improving netcode and connection stability. Recent updates help ensure a smoother experience, reflecting our commitment to fair racing.
Finally, we’re expanding our localization efforts with more language options to make iRacing accessible to a wider audience, enhancing the experience for players around the globe.
Thanks for being a part of this exciting journey with iRacing. We’re looking forward to an amazing Season 1 in just a few weeks! Until then, enjoy the last moments of Season 4 and check out our latest releases.
See you on the track!
-Greg
