An experienced finance expert, Robert Langer is now with Sphere Entertainment. He takes on the roles of executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer starting today, January 13.

Langer has over 30 years in the finance world, most recently at The Walt Disney Company. There, he led financial planning and corporate strategy. He was responsible for annual budgets and long-range plans. He also managed mergers and acquisitions and a technology-focused incubator program.
In his new position at Sphere Entertainment, Langer will collaborate with the management team to drive the company’s long-term goals. He will focus on overseeing financial operations, business strategy, and development efforts.
Based in Burbank, Langer will report directly to James L. Dolan, the executive chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment. Dolan expressed excitement about Langer joining, noting his diverse experience in finance and strategy within the media and entertainment sectors.
Langer appreciates the chance to work with the team at Sphere. He aims to leverage his skills to enhance financial performance and drive strategic initiatives. With his extensive background, he’s ready to make a significant impact as Sphere moves forward.
Before his time at Disney, Langer held a senior position at The Boston Consulting Group, focusing on clients in consumer products, retail, and media. Over his 25 years at Disney, he worked in various financial leadership roles, including CFO of several divisions and managing Disney’s operations in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
