Louisiana Christian University (LCU) recently welcomed two new leaders. Keri Beth “KB” Thomas is now the executive director of student life, and Brenna Moore has taken on the role of executive director of enrollment management.
KB Thomas brings nearly 20 years of experience at LCU. She is excited to enhance student life, focusing on personal and spiritual growth. “I’m thrilled to return to the student life office,” she shared. “I want to help students form lifelong friendships and memories during their time here.” Her commitment is to foster a community where students deepen their faith and discover their paths.
Brenna Moore has a strong background in student recruitment and enrollment strategies. In her new position, she aims to attract more students and ensure their success at LCU. “I’m eager to develop strategies that support students and expand access to higher education,” Moore said. She believes that every student should feel valued and empowered.
These appointments align with President Mark Johnson’s vision for LCU. He emphasizes community building and outreach. Johnson remarked, “Brenna and KB bring fresh perspectives to our team. Their dedication will help us grow and achieve our mission.” This focus is vital as universities today face increasing competition for student enrollment.
According to recent data from the National Center for Education Statistics, college enrollment has been fluctuating, with many institutions struggling to attract new students. This makes Moore’s role even more crucial as she navigates recruitment challenges.
In line with his leadership approach, Johnson launched the P356 Tour, an initiative of 100 events connecting the university with the community. This effort reflects a wider trend in higher education: many institutions are now focusing on community engagement to bolster interest and enrollment.
Ultimately, LCU is committed to preparing its students to make meaningful contributions to society. The university aims to ensure that graduates leave not only with academic knowledge but also with a strong spiritual foundation.
