Exciting Leadership Shift: Bethune-Cookman University Unveils New Women’s Basketball Coach!

Bethune-Cookman University has decided to move on from Head Coach Janell Crayton Del Rosario after five seasons leading the Women’s Basketball program. Reggie Theus, Vice President of Athletics, expressed gratitude for her commitment and impact on the players, saying, “We sincerely appreciate her dedication to developing our young athletes both on and off the court.”

During her time, Crayton Del Rosario recorded 48 wins and 101 losses, with a 32-58 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Despite these numbers, she played a crucial role in promoting academic success and character growth among her players.

Theus mentioned that this decision is made with the long-term success of the program in mind. “Our goal is to build a championship culture and provide an exceptional experience for our student-athletes,” he added. A search for the next head coach will begin promptly.
