The Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center (PAC) is all set to kick off its 2025-26 season in October. This year promises a mix of performances, from national ensembles to local student productions and holiday shows.

Season Highlights

The season opens on October 29 with a performance by the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus. These esteemed groups have a long history, having been founded in 1946 and 1957, respectively. Their performance will include a delightful range of music—from classical to Broadway. One standout event is “Candlelight Celtic” on March 2. Picture this: an enchanting atmosphere created by over 1,000 candles, all set to mesmerizing Irish melodies. This immersive experience was brought to life by Scott Doherty, a champion Irish dancer, and musician Chris Smith. Tickets for this unique show range from $10 to $25.

From April 9-11, theatergoers can catch “Sweat,” a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama by Lynn Nottage. This story explores friendship and betrayals in a changing working world. It’s a powerful production recommended for ages 13 and up, with tickets priced at $20 for general admission and $10 for students and faculty.

Special Matinee Series

The PAC is also expanding its School Matinee Series, which includes 12 educational touring shows. These performances are just $5 per ticket. One highlight is “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” kicking off on October 8 for grades 4 and up.
