This season, Texas A&M arrives with a strong 5-0 record, recently defeating No. 18 Duke 4-2 to secure a spot in the ITA National Indoors Championship. Singles play saw Mohammad Alkotop dominate his opponent, winning 6-2, 6-2. Miguel also earned a straightforward 6-1, 6-3 victory, leading to Hornung’s decisive three-set battle that concluded the match for FSU.
On an individual level, the latest ITA rankings shine a light on the Seminoles’ talent. Currently, Erik Schiessl stands at No. 52, Luis Felipe Miguel is at No. 82, and Azariah Rusher sits at No. 91. Miguel and Schiessl have broken into the top-20 as the No. 15 doubles team in the nation, while Rusher and Justin Lyons are holding No. 71.
