Exciting Moto Tag App Update: Seamless UWB Firmware Installation Now Available for All Users!

Google recently rebranded its Find Hub and updated the Moto Tag, a handy tracking device. Back in May, they announced that the Moto Tag would receive UWB (ultra-wideband) capabilities. By June, users started seeing the rollout of this update.

Motorola is connecting the update to a new version of their Android companion app. The latest version, 01.00.073.14, is now available in the Google Play Store. When you update, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your Moto Tag software.

The update moves your Moto Tag firmware from 2.0.69 to 2.0.104. This brings a couple of improvements: the UWB update and better battery monitoring.

The new app version is a quick download of just 0.49 MB, taking less than a minute to install. You’ll need to repeat this process for each of your Moto Tags. They are available in a 4-pack for $99 or a single pack for $30.39 on Amazon.

Once updated, opening a Moto Tag in the Find Hub app lets you see the distance from your phone—like the Pixel 6-9 Pro—to the tracker. Also, make sure the Google app is up-to-date to ensure everything works smoothly.
