The quest for the next James Bond is officially underway. Deadline has confirmed that Nina Gold has been appointed as the casting director for the upcoming 007 film. She will collaborate with acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve and seasoned producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman to find the iconic MI6 spy.
On Thursday, Amazon MGM Studios shared the news passionately through their social media channels.
“While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right,” they stated.
Even though this marks the beginning of the search for the next Bond, expect extensive auditions to take some time. Villeneuve and writer Steven Knight are still polishing the script.
Nina Gold is regarded as a top-tier casting director. Her notable works include HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” Netflix’s “The Crown,” and five films from the “Star Wars” franchise. Recently, she received an Oscar nomination for her work on “Hamnet,” a significant achievement in casting.
