After Hall’s Motor Sports moved, their old location on South Chalkville Road has been empty. Now, there’s a proposal on the table to bring new life to this space.

The Alabama-based contractor, Seay Construction, wants to transform the 35,500-square-foot building into a vibrant entertainment hub. The Trussville City Council will decide on this plan soon.

This location has been vacant since June 2024. Seay Construction’s vision includes shops, restaurants, and an entertainment area to attract families and visitors. They estimate that this project, called Cahaba Station, could generate around $13 million in taxable income every year.

As part of the proposal, the city would give up two-thirds of the sales tax revenue from the new businesses for the next decade, in addition to waiving all permit fees.

Expectations are high, with an outdoor dining area and extra entertainment options aimed to open in 2026.

Trussville is seeing growth, and this new development could be a big step forward. What are your thoughts on Cahaba Station and its potential impact on the community?
