Exciting New Features Coming: Apple to Release VisionOS 3 Update That Users Won’t Want to Miss!

There won’t be a new Apple Vision Pro model in 2025, which might come as a disappointment to some. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has shared exciting news about the upcoming visionOS 3 update, set to launch at WWDC this year.

Gurman also mentioned that a second-generation Vision Pro with a new M-series chip is in the works, along with more affordable headset options. Yet, these won’t arrive in 2025. The current model still uses the M2 chip from 2022, which will feel outdated by then.

While new hardware seems a bit far off, Apple’s software updates promise to bring fresh features. Recently, Apple rolled out visionOS 2.4 beta, introducing Apple Intelligence for the headset and a long-awaited Vision Pro app for iPhone. Also included is the Spatial Gallery feature, which is set to be released in April.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. visionOS 3 is expected to be a significant update, adding many new features, though specific details remain sparse:

Rumors suggest that Apple’s Vision Products Group is redirecting its focus. However, they must sustain updates for Vision Pro since they’ve invested heavily in it. The upcoming visionOS 3 is reported to be a robust release.

It’s clear that while new hardware options would be exciting, Apple’s current goal is to enhance visionOS. This approach may pay off in the long run.
