Exciting New Food and Entertainment Unveiled at Truist Park for Braves’ Season Opener!

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Atlanta Braves gave fans a sneak peek at Truist Park on media day, showcasing exciting new food and entertainment options just before the season opener.

Geoffrey Schmidt, the Braves’ senior director of entertainment, shared that they’ve installed vibrant LED lights designed to bring a festive, concert-like feel to the games. “We keep an eye on social media trends,” Schmidt said. This helps them understand what fans want and enjoy.

A highlight of the day was the South End Trading Company, named after the Braves’ historical roots. Inside is “The Vault,” featuring memorabilia from the team’s rich history. And yes, they even sell bottles of World Series dirt, a surprisingly popular item. “You’d be amazed at how many people are interested in dirt,” said Lisa Williams, the vice president of retail. The store also offers game-used gear, a unique find many fans might not know is available.

The media tasting featured some mouthwatering new items:

  • Low Country Crunch: Jumbo shrimp with crispy coconut breading and chili aioli.
  • Peach Dingers: Egg rolls stuffed with peach cobbler and caramel sauce.
  • A-Town Melt: Spicy chicken on toasted muffaletta bread.
  • Blooperito: A deep-fried burrito filled with chipotle beef and fresh toppings.
  • The Bat Flip: A colossal burger stacked high with beef, short rib, and a fried egg.

The Bat Flip caught the most attention, with executive chef Jaco Dreyer playfully challenging everyone: “I don’t know how you’re going to eat it, but I dare you!”

Additionally, a special beer collaboration with third baseman Austin Riley was announced. “This is a first for us, brewing with an active player,” said Mark Crouch from Blue Moon Brewery and Grill.

The Braves are gearing up for an exciting season, kicking off against the Kansas City Royals on Friday. With these new features, they’re ready to make this season memorable for fans.
