Exciting New Leaks Reveal That Samsung’s Z Fold 7 Will Be Thinner Than Ever!

Samsung seems ready to compete with Oppo’s Find N5. New leaks suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be only slightly thicker than the Find N5, which claims the title of the world’s thinnest foldable phone. This information comes from OnLeaks, based on leaked designs.

According to OnLeaks and Android Headlines, the Z Fold 7 will measure 4.5mm thick when open. In comparison, the Find N5 is 4.2mm thick, while Honor’s Magic V3 previously held the record at 4.4mm.

If these reports are accurate, Samsung will rank among the leaders in the foldable market, especially in the US. The current Z Fold 6 is 5.6mm thick, and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold is 5.1mm, while the OnePlus Open is the thickest at 5.8mm.

The thickness of the Z Fold 7 when closed is less clear. Reports suggest it will be around 9.5mm with the camera bump included, and closer to 9mm without it. However, the camera bump looks quite prominent in the new images, which could mean the actual thickness may not match the numbers.

Notably, the Z Fold 7 could have a larger design overall. It may feature an 8.2-inch inner display and a wider 6.5-inch outer screen. This increase in size might be how Samsung managed to fit a 4,400mAh battery into a slimmer body.

In terms of performance, Android Headlines anticipates it will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with an upgraded 200-megapixel main camera, while keeping the same 10-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultrawide cameras from the Z Fold 6.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to debut in July 2025, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. There were rumors about a possible announcement of a new trifold model during the same event, but leaker Max Jambor hinted that it might come out later.
