Exciting New Wonder Food Hall to Launch Its First Locations in Fairfax County This Month!

A new food hall is set to open soon in Fairfax County, bringing exciting dining choices to the area. Wonder, a New York City-based venture, will debut its Franconia and Reston locations on October 23 and October 30, respectively.

Wonder is known for its variety of cuisines, aiming to satisfy any craving. The Franconia site will occupy the former Genghis Grill location in the Festival at Manchester Lakes shopping center. Diners can enjoy meals from over a dozen eateries, offering everything from burgers and tacos to BBQ and pizza. Popular names at this venue include Tejas Barbecue, Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, and Bobby Flay Steak.

In Reston, the food hall will open in the old Brown Bag storefront. This location promises the most options, featuring signature dishes from Jota by José Andrés, Bankside by JJ Johnson, and Barrio Café, along with other beloved brands.

With the openings, Wonder expands its reach in Northern Virginia, now including three locations after opening in Rosslyn earlier this summer. This growth reflects a trend towards diverse dining options in urban areas, where convenience and variety are key. According to a recent survey by the National Restaurant Association, 72% of diners now prefer venues that offer multiple dining choices.

Wonder was founded in 2021 by Marc Lore, a former Walmart executive. The concept allows customers to mix and match dishes from various restaurants in a single order. This flexibility provides an easy solution for busy families and professionals.

Both locations will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., offering dine-in, carryout, and delivery options through GrubHub. As food halls gain popularity, they become community hubs where people can enjoy good food and gather together.
