Yamaha Motor India is gearing up to launch the 2025 Yamaha R3, a popular middle-weight sports bike. Recently, some design patents for the bike surfaced online, offering a sneak peek before any official announcement. While the 2025 model is already available worldwide, it will soon be making its way to India.
The leaked images show a sleek design that closely resembles the global version of the bike, featuring elements inspired by Yamaha’s top-tier supersport models. One standout feature is the projector headlamp flanked by stylish four-element LED daytime running lights. The bike also has updated LED turn indicators and a sculpted fuel tank complete with full fairing. Riders can expect several attractive color options, including Matte Stealth Black, Team Yamaha Blue, and Lunar White with Nebula Blue available in the U.S.
This new R3 isn’t just about looks; it packs a variety of modern features. The fully digital instrument cluster offers enhanced connectivity options, and there’s even a USB charging port to keep your devices powered on the go. Plus, the bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels that are both sturdy and stylish.
Under the hood, the 2025 R3 is powered by a 321 cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine. This engine, also used in the MT03, produces an impressive 41 bhp and 30 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch.
With all these upgrades, the price is expected to rise from its current starting point of Rs 4.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Yamaha fans and potential buyers have a lot to look forward to with the arrival of this new model in India.
