Air India is set to restart its direct flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv on March 2, 2025. This announcement follows a pause in service that began in August 2024 due to rising tensions in the Middle East.
The airline will offer five weekly non-stop flights. Passengers can book tickets for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This route will be serviced by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which features 18 flat beds in Business Class and 238 seats in Economy Class.
The decision to resume these flights comes after obtaining the necessary approvals. Recently, Israel’s tourism minister, Haim Katz, expressed interest in having a direct flight from Mumbai to Tel Aviv, potentially involving both Air India and the Israeli airline EL AL.
This resumption of flights provides a crucial link between India and Israel, enhancing travel options for business and tourism between the two nations.
