Standing at 6-foot-11 and weighing 215 pounds, Stevenson joined the transfer portal with a “do not contact” notice, hinting he might have had North Carolina in mind all along.

During his time at Alabama, he played in 74 games, starting 27 of them. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 5.4 points, shooting 42.9% from the field, along with 3.4 rebounds in around 19 minutes per game. Over his two years, he finished with averages of 5.4 points on a 42.5% shooting rate and 3.0 rebounds per game.

Stevenson was a standout player in high school, ranked as a four-star recruit. He was highly sought after, being the top prospect in North Carolina and the fourth-best power forward in his class. Interestingly, North Carolina had been a favorite for him during his recruitment process, but he chose Alabama instead. Notably, his mother, Nicole Walker Stevenson, played for the Tar Heels and won three ACC championships from 1995 to 1998.
