MILWAUKEE — Marquette University has officially named Andy Schneider as the new dean of admissions. This announcement comes from Brian Troyer, Vice President for Enrollment Management. Schneider has been serving as the acting dean since July 2024 and has now stepped into this permanent role.
Before becoming acting dean, Schneider played a key position as the director of enrollment and marketing strategy in Marquette’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. His strong leadership and experience made him a standout choice for this role. “After a national search, Andy was the clear and strongest candidate,” Troyer shared. He believes Schneider is well-prepared to help meet the university’s enrollment goals as outlined in the Marquette 2031 Strategic Plan.
Schneider expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I am honored to officially step into the role of dean of admissions. After nearly two decades at Marquette, I look forward to advancing our mission and fostering an inclusive environment.” He hopes to work closely with colleagues and partners to enhance Marquette’s commitment to high-quality education.
Andy Schneider began his journey at Marquette in August 2006 as an admissions counselor. He has held various leadership positions, such as director of marketing and communication and assistant dean of admissions. His experience spans all aspects of the admissions team, including recruitment, events, and operations.
Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valparaiso University.
