Exciting News: Bharat Arun Joins LSG as Bowling Coach for IPL 2026!

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have officially brought on former Indian pacer Bharat Arun as their new bowling coach for the upcoming IPL seasons. Arun is well-regarded for his role in shaping India’s bowling attack during his time as a national team coach. His new two-year contract with LSG signals a commitment to develop the squad throughout the year.

Before this, Arun spent four successful years with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). His coaching led KKR to victory in 2024, showcasing his skills in guiding a team. Now, KKR is looking to fill their coaching vacancies after parting ways with head coach Chandrakant Pandit.

LSG’s decision to hire Arun hints at potential changes in their coaching staff. Reports suggest that Zaheer Khan, who coached the team last season, may not return, as his contract is currently under review. Additionally, head coach Justin Langer’s position is being evaluated after two seasons where the team struggled to make the playoffs.

In IPL 2025, LSG, led by Rishabh Pant, had a tough run, winning only six out of 14 matches. Despite a standout innings where Pant scored 118*, his overall performance fell short of expectations, especially given his record ₹27 crore contract.

Interestingly, the trends in team management across sports reveal that organizations are increasingly prioritizing coaching stability to improve results. According to a recent study, teams with consistent coaching staff tend to have higher win rates. This could be a crucial area for LSG to focus on moving forward. As the franchise restructures, fans will be keen to see how these changes impact the team’s performance.
