Exciting News: Creighton University Unveils Plans for New Quadrangle Construction!

Creighton University in Omaha is set to transform its campus with a new quadrangle, aiming for completion by 2026. This project will create a large green space of 251,500 square feet near 22nd and Burt streets.

The quadrangle will feature several appealing elements, including an amphitheater, pavilion, and a fountain plaza. There’s also planned artwork to enhance the space’s beauty.

The estimated cost ranges from $22 million to $25 million, fully funded by generous donations. University President Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson highlights the significance of this project, describing it as Creighton’s version of Central Park—bridging academic and residential life.

Currently, the planned site occupies the baseball and softball fields, which will be removed after the College World Series in June. Creighton is also developing new facilities for the teams.

This quadrangle is expected to enrich campus life, fostering greater connections among students, faculty, staff, and visitors. "It creates a crown jewel at the heart of the city’s urban core," says Fr. Hendrickson, noting that the university has invested over $500 million into the area since 2015.
