Ian Lieberman, one of the co-owners, shared that the community has really been wanting Dave’s to come to Southwest Florida. He believes Fort Myers is the perfect spot for their first branch in the area. Just a heads-up—the Reaper chicken comes with a waiver you must sign!

Since its start in 2017, Dave’s has grown rapidly. They began with just $900 and a few fryers in a parking lot in Los Angeles. Now, they have over 1,000 franchise locations planned across the globe, with more than 70 set to open this year.

Interestingly, the popularity of hot chicken has surged in recent years. A recent study from the National Chicken Council revealed that chicken consumption is rising. In fact, in the U.S., about 1.4 billion pounds of chicken wings were consumed last year alone!
