Grass Valley, Calif. — Dignity Health Medical Group – Sierra Nevada has announced its acquisition of Sierra Nevada Gastroenterology, effective June 9, 2025. After a brief closure for transition, the clinic will reopen on June 16, 2025.
This move ensures that residents in Grass Valley will continue to receive excellent gastroenterology care. Patients will see familiar faces, as the same physicians and providers will remain. Additionally, they will now have easier access to Dignity Health’s broader network, including Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and Dignity Health Urgent Care.
The clinic will stay at its current address, 300 Sierra College Dr. in Grass Valley, with operating hours unchanged: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services offered will include consultations, follow-up appointments, colonoscopies, and endoscopies.
To make this transition smooth, the clinic will close temporarily from June 9 to June 13, reopening on June 16.
According to Dr. Aslam Godil, a gastroenterologist from the clinic, “We are excited to continue our long partnership with Dignity Health. This collaboration enables us to provide quality care with trust and compassion.”
Lesley Camire, Executive Director of Dignity Health Medical Group – Sierra Nevada, remarked, “Sierra Nevada Gastroenterology has an excellent track record in treating digestive disorders. We aim to enhance accessible GI care and recruit more physicians to meet community needs.”
Beyond gastroenterology, Dignity Health Medical Group – Sierra Nevada offers primary care and various specialties, including cancer care, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, and women’s health.
The clinic is part of a larger network of eight locations focused on integrated care, ensuring high-quality medical services in Grass Valley. As healthcare evolves, partnerships like this one highlight the importance of community trust and access to comprehensive care. Learn more about their offerings at dhmf.org/sierranevada.
