Bruce Springsteen might have more stories to share. Scott Cooper, the writer-director of the new film “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” mentioned that Springsteen is considering a sequel. Cooper joked, “If they can make four Beatles movies, we can certainly make a couple of Bruce movies too.”
Cooper’s reference is to the upcoming films on each of the Beatles, set for release in 2028. His own film, “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” dives into Springsteen’s creation of the 1982 album “Nebraska,” exploring his struggles with depression and the impacts of his childhood. Jeremy Allen White stars as Springsteen, with Odessa Young and Jeremy Strong playing important roles in his life.
Cooper noted that Springsteen’s life has many chapters fit for the screen. He believes Springsteen enjoyed the process of sharing his story, indicating that the musician might be open to exploring more of his past in future projects.
When asked about potentially casting Courteney Cox, who famously appeared in Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” video, Cooper had a light-hearted response and mentioned she has a daughter.
Jeremy Strong also spoke at the premiere about the buzz around his performance. He said he aims to give his all in every role, inspired by Springsteen’s dedication. “He plays every show like it’s his last,” Strong noted, emphasizing the importance of passion in their crafts.
