With the release of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth last year, fans are eager to know more about the next installment in the Final Fantasy Remake Trilogy. Producer Tetsuya Nomura mentioned during a recent livestream that they have a plan for the announcement of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, but he kept the exact timing a mystery.

“It is going very smoothly,” Nomura reassured fans. “The announcement timing has been decided, and we will stick to that schedule, so please rest assured and wait.”

In addition to the Final Fantasy news, Nomura shared that Kingdom Hearts 4 is also on track, but specific details are still under wraps. It’s unclear whether Square Enix will announce Part 3 through its own channels or during a partner event. Historically, the first remake was unveiled at the 2015 E3, while Rebirth was showcased at the Summer Game Fest 2023.

Earlier this year, series producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the story for Part 3 would be completed by the end of 2024, and game director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed development began right after Rebirth’s launch.
