Exciting News for Pixel 10 Owners: September 2025 Update Now Available!

The Pixel 10 series has officially launched, bringing with it Android 16 QPR1. Many users are already seeing a September 2025 security patch update.

Each model in the series—Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL—received a day-one update labeled BD3A.250721.001 (or .A1 for “NA GStore”), which includes the August 5, 2025 security fix alongside a fresh Material 3 Expressive design.

Recently, some Pixel 10 owners reported a new update around 70 MB in size. After installation, the build number changes to BD3A.250721.001.B7, updating to the September 5, 2025 security patch. However, the Google Play system update has not changed, still showing June 1, 2025.

Many hope this update also brings bug fixes, and it seems like a smooth process. Though, the phones aren’t part of the Android Beta Program yet.

Not every user is seeing this new update. The latest factory and OTA images aren’t available for all Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL owners just yet.

Interestingly, the factory image page revealed fun new codenames for the devices:

• Pixel 10: frankel
• Pixel 10 Pro: blazer
• Pixel 10 Pro XL: mustang
