Exciting News: Former HBO Exec Maia Hollinger Takes the Lead as Head of Television at Alloy Entertainment!

Alloy Entertainment has a new leader for its television division. Maia Hollinger, a former HBO drama executive, steps into this role following Gina Girolamo’s departure last year.

Hollinger will work directly with Leslie Morgenstein, the President and Chief Creative Officer of Alloy, who recently extended his contract with Warner Bros. Television. Her main goal will be to expand Alloy’s offerings beyond their popular young adult series, bringing in more shows aimed at adult audiences.

Before this, Hollinger played a key role at HBO, overseeing emerging hits like The White Lotus, The Gilded Age, and The Undoing. She spent four valuable years there, from January 2019 to December 2022. More recently, she consulted on drama programming for NBCUniversal.

Earlier in her career, she worked at Gaumont Television, where she managed many projects aimed at both U.S. and international markets. She also held positions at Brillstein Partners and CBS, where her journey in television began.

Alloy is known for popular series like You, which is set to return for its fifth and final season on Netflix. They are also behind hits like Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, and Pretty Little Liars.

Leslie Morgenstein praised Hollinger, saying, “She has impeccable taste and a wonderful reputation in the industry. I believe she is the right person to lead our television division.”

Hollinger expressed her excitement about joining the team, stating, “I’m eager to help build this beloved brand and to explore new and exciting ways to tell coming-of-age stories across genres.”
