Exciting News: Former Indian Cricket Staff Member Joins LSG as New Bowling Coach for IPL 2026

In a recent move within the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have brought in Bharat Arun as their new bowling coach. Arun, 62, has an impressive background, having served as the bowling consultant for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he contributed to their successful 2024 title run. He also spent time with Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2015 to 2017.

The announcement was made on LSG’s social media, where the franchise expressed excitement over Arun’s addition to the team. Arun himself shared his enthusiasm, calling it an honor to join a franchise known for professionalism and ambition. He highlighted LSG’s commitment to developing a young, talented group of bowlers, including Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, and Mohsin Khan. Arun began his coaching career with Tamil Nadu’s state team and later became the chief bowling coach at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. His coaching experience includes leading India’s U-19 team to a World Cup victory in 2012, a significant achievement in Indian cricket.

Meanwhile, the IPL landscape is changing rapidly. Recently, SunRisers Hyderabad announced former Indian pacer Varun Aaron as their new bowling coach for the upcoming season. He will join the coaching staff alongside New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori, taking over from James Franklin.
