Exciting News: In-N-Out Seeks Approval for New Beaverton Location – What This Means for Fast Food Lovers!

In-N-Out Burger’s Beaverton Plans Continue to Progress

After much excitement, Beaverton residents are still waiting for In-N-Out Burger to make its debut. The California fast-food favorite has submitted plans for a new restaurant just outside the city limits.

The proposed location will be a 3,885-square-foot eatery located at 10565 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. It will feature a drive-thru and outdoor seating, making it a go-to spot for burger lovers.

The burger chain filed several permits on June 17, but construction won’t start until they get the county’s green light. Initial plans for the Beaverton site were submitted back in February 2020, but the application faced delays due to zoning issues related to the drive-thru.

Since then, In-N-Out has navigated through a lengthy appeals process. By mid-2024, the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals confirmed the county’s approval of their application.

The new In-N-Out will take over the space where the Hawaiian Time restaurant used to be, still standing but awaiting demolition. Some locals are worried that the influx of visitors might worsen the traffic jams that already plague the area, especially around the nearby Chick-fil-A.

Interestingly, In-N-Out is also working on a drive-thru in Gresham’s Oregon Trail Shopping Center. Currently, the nearest location for Portland fans is in Keizer.

In-N-Out’s slow expansion reflects a growing trend of fast-food chains making their way into new markets. According to a 2023 report from *QSR Magazine*, chains like In-N-Out are seeing increased demand in suburban areas, as customers look for familiar options closer to home. With more than 350 locations across the West, In-N-Out’s presence is deeply rooted in community culture, and many fans eagerly await their first taste in Beaverton.

Social media is buzzing with excitement over the upcoming location, with residents sharing their anticipation on platforms like Twitter and Instagram. Many are sharing their favorite memories of In-N-Out, highlighting what makes this burger chain special to them.
