Exciting News: Indiana State University Athletics Unveils the 33rd Hall of Fame Class for Sycamore Athletics!

The Indiana State Department of Athletics has announced the newest members of the Sycamore Hall of Fame. This year’s class includes six outstanding individuals who made significant contributions in various sports and roles. They will be honored on January 23, 2026, during a ceremony at the Sycamore Banquet Center at 6 p.m.

This Year’s Inductees:

  1. Larry Judge (Track & Field): Larry had a successful athletic career from 1985 to 1987. He was a champion shot putter, winning both NCAA Indoor and Missouri Valley Conference titles. As a coach, he trained Olympians and even coached at the 2016 Olympics.

  2. Jeremy Lucas (Baseball): Active from 2010 to 2012, Jeremy shone as Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2012. He led his team in several categories and got drafted by the Cleveland Indians that same year.

  3. John Mascari (Track & Field/Cross Country): John competed from 2012 to 2015, making history as an All-American multiple times and winning four consecutive Missouri Valley Conference titles in cross country. He set several school records during his time.

  4. Ed McKee (Administration): Serving from 1971 to 1980, Ed was crucial in promoting Indiana State athletics. He managed media relations for legends like Larry Bird and had a brief career in semi-pro basketball.

  5. Bobby Turner (Football): Bobby, who played from 1969 to 1971, excelled on the field with multiple interceptions and was named to the All-Conference team. He later became a coach for several professional teams and was recently inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame.

  6. Katie Wise (Track & Field): Between 2012 and 2015, Katie was a standout athlete, earning six All-American honors. She holds several school records and contributed significantly to her teams.
