Congratulations to Katie Feeney! We’re excited to share that our own White House Social Media Correspondent, Katie Feeney, is stepping into a new role at ESPN as a Sports and Lifestyle Content Creator. We’ve been lucky to work with Katie for the last three years, and we believe she’ll be a fantastic fit for the ESPN-Disney family and their global audience.
Katie has a rich background in both politics and sports. From her internships with Penn State athletics to roles in the NFL, MLB, and MLS, she has built a strong following by sharing athlete interviews and attending major events. Notably, she represented the White House during events like the annual Christmas decorations unveiling and Super Bowl visits from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. As the first Social Media Correspondent for both the White House and the Washington Commanders, she’s reshaping how Gen-Z interacts with sports and politics online.
With over 14 million followers, Katie’s presence will enhance ESPN’s social media engagement. She’ll appear on popular shows like Sunday NFL Countdown and College GameDay. Katie Daley, ESPN’s Senior VP of Digital and Social Content, noted that Katie has an extraordinary ability to blend sports and Gen-Z culture, making her a valuable addition.

We’re excited for her journey at ESPN.” We’re also thrilled to announce that Katie has been promoted to Chief White House Social Media Correspondent at AKSM Media, where we aim to expand our White House social team. Ella Doda, Associate Editor, praised Katie’s work ethic and said, “We can’t wait to see her thrive in this new role.” Katie will be based in New York City and will continue covering White House events with our team in Washington, DC.
Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Katie now lives in New York and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Communication, enriching her knowledge while serving as our Social Media Correspondent.
