This series marks Livvy’s first acting role. She recently shared that she’s been taking acting lessons and plans to dive into film and TV after stepping away from gymnastics in April 2025. With around 13 million social media followers, she’s already a well-known figure online.
Joining her in the reboot are other social media sensations like Noah Beck (41M followers), Shay Mitchell (35M followers), and Brooks Nader (1.8M followers). Stephen Amell leads the cast as Hobie Buchannon, the Baywatch Captain. The ensemble also features Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, and David Chokachi, who reprises his original role as Cody Madison.
Set to debut in the 2026-2027 season, the story follows Hobie as he navigates fatherhood and the responsibilities of his iconic family legacy. When his daughter Charlie (played by Belkin) appears, she’s determined to continue the Buchannon tradition.
The reboot is a collaboration between Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with Matt Nix as the showrunner. Well-known names like McG and Mike Horowitz are also on board to produce.
